MARINE PLANTS

In this artwork I explore flax material in its various stages and forms. The versatility of this plant material is explored while working with fibers, fabrics, yarns and home-made paper. The two largest leaves visually mirror the textile structures, knitted and woven, that are often used to make use of flax. I wanted to highlight the connection between plants, fibers and our everyday textiles.

The artwork is made of flax fibers, home-made paper and recycled linen fabrics.
